清水焼（きよみずやき）は、京都を代表する伝統工芸品のひとつで、京都市東山区・山科区の清水焼団地・宇治市の炭山などで生産されているものを指しています。桃山時代茶の湯の流行とともに、京都でも器を作るようになり、清水焼として確立しました。
谷口清雅堂は清水寺門前にて80年、３代に続く京焼・清水焼の専門店です。

Kiyomizu ware is one of Kyoto's traditional crafts, and refers to pottery made in Kyoto's Higashiyama Ward, the Kiyomizu ware complex in Yamashina Ward, and in Sumiyama in Uji. As the tea ceremony gained in popularity in the Momoyama period (1583-1600 CE), artisans in Kyoto began producing ceramic vessels, leading to the formation of Kiyomizu ware.
TANIGUCHI SEIGADO is a specialty store for Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware that has been located in front of Kiyomizu-dera Temple for 80 years and run for three generations.
The shop carries many one-of-a-kind pieces developed by the owner, a pottery aficionado, in partnership with different pottery studios. The company is committed to bringing the warmth of handmade goods and depth of traditional techniques to a wider audience.
